We have just returned the popular location, Nehrling Gardens, to our Trippin' offerings for the 2025-26 year! This one filled very quickly, when it was offered before, so remember to wake up early to register!

The historic home and gardens of Dr. Henry Nehrling was established in Gotha in the 1880s. Dr. Nehrling was a pioneer horticulturist and naturalist who developed Florida's first tropical gardens in a 6-acre area in the German-America town of Gotha (just north of Windermere). Over 300 palms became essential to the state's  ornamental horticulture, including caladiums, palms, bamboo, magnolias, amaryllis, Indian Hawthorne, and crinum lilies. LIFE members will learn the history of the site, tour the home and gardens and learn what the all-volunteer organization is doing today to preserve the home and remaining historic genome in the gardens and to create an education center an d community resource focusing on historic preservation, horticultural education and environmental conservation.

There is plenty of free parking across the street from the gardens!

The cost for this Trippin' is $17 and is inclusive of all fees and gratuities/donation. To receive a refund, cancel by March 30. After that time you will only receive a refund if someone on the wait list is willing and able to take your place.
