On Friday, January 31, join other LIFE at UCF members for a unique and engaging experience at the historic Maitland Art Center, a National Historical Landmark. The museum educators will lead us on a guided tour of this renowned campus, offering insights into the life of founder André Smith and the center's history as an artist retreat during the early 20th century. As you explore the grounds, you'll discover the Art Center's distinctive fantasy architecture, featuring over 2,500 hand-carved sculptural pieces, each considered part of the Center's artistic legacy!

Following the tour, tap into your creativity with a printmaking workshop inspired by the center's intricate sculptural reliefs. Using etching techniques, you'll create your own unique print to take home as a keepsake of your visit.

Afterward, you are welcome to explore the other museum exhibitions at your leisure. Don't miss this chance to dive into the rich history and artistry of the Maitland Art Center!

Cost of $10.00 includes all fees and a donation to the Center.

After January 20th, you will only receive a refund for this event if there is a wait list and someone is able to take your reservation place.

You do not need your confirmation for this event, but you WILL need to bring the filled out waiver form available at: https://lifeatucf.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/LIFE-Trip-Waiver.pdf  this form is also accessible under the Trippin' through LIFE drop down menu on our lifeatucf.org website.
